One of the 40 stores in the country and in the globe selling the Vision Pro — only in U.S. Markets at the moment.

The most anticipated Apple product since the development of the first iPod and iPhone is here–the Apple Vision Pro. The world’s first spatial computer.

Have you tried it? Has your start up invested in it as R&D such as the thousands of firms in Silicon Valley and Boston around the world? What did you experience? Did you know Boston is one of the 40 places in the world selling the Vision Pro?

The Vision Pro — An AI Renaissance

From an innovation and technologist perspective, the Vision Pro has truly shown what the field of spatial computing, computer science, AI, virtual worlds, and immersive technology can do when it is stretched, integrated, and shaped into the most luxurious experience of computers (computing) in history.

It is a true testament to the R&D Team of R&D, and all the great designers, engineers, UX designers, focus groups, and Apple specialists who have gone into and continue to enhance this diamond.

For the tech consumer, entrepreneur, or executive following emerging markets and AI, demo-ing the technology or purchasing the Vision Pro is a no brainer. With a demo, I was able to experience what I found to be the most unique luxury spatial computing experience I have ever experienced.

I found the experience immersive, luxury in comfort, and capable of redefining workflow/supply chain processes, sensor technology and most importantly be a tool for social change.

Here was my experience–

  1. Immersive UX — Passthrough Technology

Upon trying the head set, settling in (setting it up), and getting it synced and playing with the Digital Crown, I experienced passthrough technology. In pass through technology, I was able to see real-time video and the Vision Pro seemed to catch the “device’s external cameras.” It made me feel comfortable and connected to the physical world. This is one of the features of the vision pro.

Some of the additional immersion I experienced was through iPhone Photos (Panoramic) and Videos. I felt a very emotional experience when I was immersed in a video of a birthday party. With extended family in Latin America, I found how unique it would be to be present virtually in real time in future birthdays or special events. That would drive a consumer to acquire the headset. I did learn, it has to be recorded in a particular video file only allowed with the latest iPhone and Vision Pro.

2. Luxury in Comfort | Spatial Layout

My most luxurious experience in tech has definitely been the Noise Cancelling Bose headphones owned and former AirPods. The experience of Vision Pro puts that experience in a separate category. The audio I found quite good in the Vision Pro. I found a sheer layer of comfort and luxury as I navigated a few apps at the same time– creating separate windows into its own desktop or “wall.” I think because I was in Copley Square’s Lounge (made just for Vision Pro demos), the comfort was to another level. My biggest interest or liking in this was navigating articles, photos, and then a few days later, I learned you can connect it to Microsoft Teams.

The real incredible experience I had, was the ability to push and pull the windows programs. I really like that feature. I think apart from the Immersive technology, that was one of my favorites that I think creates a

The luxury comfort and flexible workspace.

3. Redefining Work Flow Processes/Value Chains

The entire time, apart from a recreational experience I had, having heard serial entrepreneurs imagine its integration into industries like BioTech, I thought how its cameras and sensor technology could redefine workflow processes. From reading petri dishes perhaps, to supporting automation work flow processes, to data analytics, there is still much to wait and anticipate as Apple begins corporate partnerships. I do think the cost of these pilots and corporate investments to integrate into complex workflow processes like in Life Sciences will be costly. Not to mention, there will be training involved, new organizational structures, and adaptations. There can also be room for error, so I anticipate pilot phases to take their extended time.

4. Sensor Technology
This was definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Being able to manage my screen, windows, and navigate a variety of apps through the touch of my fingers and eyes. It is so well designed, and the camera sensor on your eyes — feeling like it goes through your eye pupil — is impeccable. It’s pretty flawless just takes some getting used to. For those who own Vision Pro, am sure it’s been fun “settling in” to the range of ways to manage screens and windows. Much of the sensor technology is indeed what encompasses the 5,000 patents Apple filed for the technology.

5. Be a tool for Social Change

Apart from the industry side of thinking how Vision Pro would integrate with sensor technology into industry, I definitely thought about social, economic and ecological change.

In the last part of the Demo, I had an immersive experience with a concert of Alicia Keys and also a baseball game. I thought how unique this will be for consumer for entertainment. A seasoned technologist I know shared with me, he was nearly in tears during the Alicia Keys concert given how well the audio was, how you felt you were in her studio, and just the experience in of itself. The game for me, live, made me think how Apple TV can and will showcase live games on Apple TV. But I felt magic, when I experienced an immersive video seeing polar bears swimming, the most beautiful panoramic naturescapes, someone on a parachute, and thought the amount of climate immersive experiences that can be built with National Geographic, UNDP, and many climate organizations can be unreal. It reminds me deeply of the book Urban Play by Fabio Duarte and Ricardo Alvarez in which, one of the takeaways of the technologies and experience of Disney, is that — technology can make you empathize and feel.

Can we use vision pro not just to automate processes but also improve the world we live in? Can it be used to evoke empathy and shape more responsible, net-zero communities? What other ways in the era of global conflict can it support? How can voting in elections also adopt such technologies? Can open houses with Vision Pro also transform children’s experiences with experiential education? What about peace, conflict and negotiation?

There were 5,000 Patents filed by Apple to make the Vision Pro a reality. Let’s put the Vision Pro to exceptional industrial and social impact use. Our future generations depend on it.
